Christine studied piano with Susan Wong Lim and May Lim at the School. Her many awards include First Prize in the Canadian Music Competition, a Gold Medal from the Royal Conservatory of Music, and scholarships to Indiana University where she received a Bachelor of Music with Distinction in Piano Performance. She went on to receive a MMus and CSPM (Certificat de stage de perfectionnement en musique) from the Conservatoire de Musique de Montréal, studying under André Laplante.
Ms. Ngai has performed across North America and Europe, gaining valuable insights into diverse approaches to piano performance and pedagogy. She remains committed to sharing her passion for music and nurturing the next generation of musicians, from setting up beginners to preparing high-school students for successful university auditions. Additionally, Ms. Ngai is an in-demand collaborative pianist in the Metro Vancouver area, performing often with strings, winds, brass, voice, and piano.
